The City of Knoxville's new transit center received the top award for engineering from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee. The lead engineers on the project, from CDM Smith , accepted the Grand Iris Award at the annual ACEC awards banquet. |

KNOXVILLE — No students were hurt when a car crashed into a Knox County school bus today, authorities said. The crash happened just before 8 a.m. at the corner of Fairview and Emory roads in Corryton as Bus 9147 carried 21 students to Holston Middle School, Knox County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Hillary Coward said. |
