Indiana's “religious rights” law got a quick fix last week from its lawmakers after it sparked an uproar among those who said it would give business people an opening to cite religious beliefs to deny service to gays and others. Defenders of the law said that wouldn't be the case at all but the controversy prompted Indiana to pass a follow-up measure to clarify the law's intent.
