March 24 2012 - Woman dies in SUV/school bus crash near Wellfleet Shaylynn M. Hagan, 31, of Wellfleet died Wednesday after her Chevy Trailblazer hit a Maywood school bus around 4:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 83 near the Lincoln-Frontier County line, about 28 miles south of North Platte.

January 01 2012 - Meeting a ‘pick up’ at Sterling I am twirling a small yellow marigold as I eat rainbow trout at the Denver airport. How the marigold got here is remarkable. I left North Platte a few hours ago, headed west to see family. Our shuttle bus stopped halfway to Denver at Sterling to pick up three parolees from the federal penitentiary.
